Counter Culture Ministries is a group that was
founded to be exactly what
it sounds like - counter to the culture around us.

Counter Culture (kounīter kulīcher) - the culture of those young people
whose lifestyle is opposed  to that of the mainstream society.

Romans 12:2 says something similar:
Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

We believe that God exists and that He wants to play a very strong role in our lives. God's given us the ability to make a difference in the world around us - it's our responsibility to take what we've been given and use it!

Sometimes the best way to describe what you are like, is to tell what you're not like.

Here's what we aren't:

Mainstream Culture:

  • "Just go with the flow."

  • "I won't bother trying 'cause I can't win anyway."

  • "I'll do just enough to get by."

  • "I'm looking out for number one."

Mainstream Church:

  • Talking the talk, but not walking the walk

  • Focusing too much inside the church walls - not in the real world

  • Meet with God but leave the same

So, we're Young Adults that want to make a difference.
